How to dose Sudafed in Children: A weight-based off-label dosing guide*
















Sudafed (pseudoephedrine) is used for nasal congestion (stuffiness).


• Sudafed is a nasal decongestant.

• Sudafed is available behind the pharmacy counter, ID is required to purchase.

• Do not give Sudafed if you do not know the weight of your child.

• Sudafed may cause insomnia, nervousness, headache and increased blood pressure, among other side effects.

• Do not give Sudafed to a child under 4 years old without contacting your health provider first.

• Do not give Sudafed to a child with a heart condition or high blood pressure without contacting your health provider first.

• Please read the labels on the box before giving your child any medicine.
